Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 26.94 crore), PNB (number of shares traded: 3.97 crore), JP Power (number of shares traded: 3.32 crore), Suzlon Energy (number of shares traded: 2.83 crore), Reliance Comm (number of shares traded: 2.28 crore), Tata Power (number of shares traded: 1.84 crore), Trident Ltd (number of shares traded: 1.46 crore), Zomato Ltd. (number of shares traded: 1.37 crore), Reliance Power (number of shares traded: 1.22 crore) and YES Bank (number of shares traded: 1.16 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 09:59AM in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 69.25 points up at 15954.4, while BSE Sensex was up 267.64 points at 53218.27 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Titan Company Ltd. (up 3.81 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd. (up 2.12 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (up 1.74 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd. (up 1.59 per cent) and ITC Ltd. (up 1.47 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Grasim Industries Ltd. (down 1.42 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd. (down 1.27 per cent), UPL Ltd. (down 0.97 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (down 0.68 per cent) and Hindalco Industries Ltd. (down 0.59 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
