'Struggling' Year 12 student pleads with mystery park bagpiper to stop playing outside during lockdown so he can focus - after he was tormented by the instrument for EIGHT days in a row

A 'struggling' Year 12 student has begged for a bagpiper to quit playing the woodwind instrument during lockdown because he can't focus on his studies.
The student has stuck a handwritten note to a fence in Petersham Park in Sydney's inner-west where they say it would be appreciated if the musician could take a break 'every now and then'.
'I understand lockdown is hard and we all need a creative outlet. However, it's been eight days and I'm not sure how much more bagpiping I can take,' the anonymous pupil wrote.

The student accompanied the note with an illustration of a red bagpipe to make sure there was no confusion as to who they were addressing the letter to.
The Inner West Council states in their noise regulations that musical instruments are only restricted before 8am and after midnight on a Friday, Saturday or the day immediately before a public holiday, and before 8am and after 10pm on any other day.

The Year 12 student's letter comes as students in the Greater Sydney region are forced to continue their schooling from home during lockdown.
NSW Health announced last week up to 40,000 Pfizer doses would be allocated from NSW Health's rural and regional supply of Covid-19 vaccines to assist Year 12 students in Sydney to get back to school for face-to-face learning on August 16.
