President Ram Nath Kovind arrives in Ooty

COIMBATORE: President Ram Nath Kovind arrived at Ooty in the Nilgiris on Tuesday on a three -day visit. The President will participate at an event at the Defence Services Staff College in Wellington on August 4.
Kovind, who arrived at Sulur Air Force Station in Coimbatore from Chennai at 10.40am, was received by Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit, ministers Thangam Thennarasu and others. Later, he left for Raj Bhavan at Ooty by a chopper.
He will leave for Delhi on August 6.
On Monday, the President unveiled a portrait of former chief minister M Karunanidhi in Tamil Nadu assembly to coincide with the centenary celebrations of the state legislature.
