PATNA: The Patna Meteorological Centre predicted on Monday that fairly widespread rainfall would occur in Bihar till August 6. It also claimed that most places in the state had received light to moderate rainfall in the last 24 hours.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) also issued a yellow alert, saying heavy rainfall with thunderstorm and lightning was likely to occur at isolated places in Bihar on Tuesday. It asked the authorities concerned to be watchful for extreme weather developments.
