Turquoise Miami, the mother of Fetty Wap’s late daughter, has asked the public to be “more compassionate” toward her rapper ex as he deals with the death of his 4-year-old Lauren.
“You don’t have to kick a man while he’s down, Losing a child is as down as it gets,” she wrote on her Instagram Story on Tuesday, responding to fans criticizing the “Trap Queen” artist’s parenting.
Turquoise admitted that she did complain about Fetty in old videos posted between 2017-2019, but their “co parenting had improved off the gram.”
She added, “We came to a better place for Lauren.”
In the lengthy post, she also said the rapper, 30, had become more financially and emotionally responsible for his daughter.
“All that Y’all need to know is Lauren loved her daddy and he loved her,” she wrote. “She made him laugh with her crazy funny personality and she loved to be the center of attention and he loved to be her audience.”
She asked fans to be “more compassionate” towards the grieving father, born Willie Junior Maxwell II, and that people send him love too during his time of need.
Turquoise also thanked followers for showing love and support as they mourned the loss of their child.
“The energy is appreciated and felt,” she wrote.
The grieving mother revealed Lauren’s death in an emotional Instagram post on Monday.
“This is my amazing ,beautiful , funny , vibrant, loving ,talented , smart and hardheaded princess mermaid Aquarius,” the heartbroken mom wrote at the time. “If you see this post scrolling by with her comment or just say to yourself “ i love you LAUREN ”because they say that souls can feel your love #rip💔“
The rapper has yet to comment on his daughter’s death but did reportedly give her a shout out at a Miami performance last Sunday, telling the crowd, “LoLo daddy did that shit for you last night baby girl,” he wrote in a since-expired Instagram story.”
Lauren — whose cause of death has not been revealed — was one of Fetty Wap’s six children. He shares two kids with ex Lezhea Keona, one daughter with Masika Kalysha, a daughter with Elaynna Parker and a daughter with Alexis Skyy.
