Panaji: The directorate of technical education on Tuesday announced the results for the Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) 2021, which was conducted on July 29 and July 30.
Adiyya Bhat topped in Physics with 59 marks, Sairaj Ghosavardekar secured highest marks – 70 – in Chemistry, and Swatit Valaulikar secured highest marks – 73 – in Mathematics.
The GCET 2021 was conducted in three subjects namely physics, chemistry and mathematics by the DTE across 16 centres in the state.
Altogether 2,935 candidates had registered for physics and chemistry of which 2,829 candidates appeared for physics and 2,810 appeared for chemistry. Out of the 2,129 candidates registered for Mathematics, 2,033 candidates appeared for the test.
GCET chairman V N Shet informed that the GCET 2021 was conducted and the results were prepared in collaboration with IIT, Bombay. He added that the results have been evaluated and processed using electronic Objective Response Sheet (ORS) technology.
Informing about the admission process to professional courses, Shet said that admissions to B E and B Pharm courses shall be based on GCET scores, whereas admissions to MBBS, B DS, BHMS, BAMS, AHS, Nursing and BVSc & AH courses shall be made on the basis of NEET (UG) conducted by CBSE, while admissions to B Arch shall be based on NATA.
