Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (numbers of share traded: 83.95 crore), PNB (numbers of share traded: 10.10 crore), YES Bank (numbers of share traded: 6.28 crore), Tata Power (numbers of share traded: 5.05 crore), Zomato Ltd. (numbers of share traded: 4.66 crore), Reliance Comm (numbers of share traded: 4.65 crore), Ashok Leyland (numbers of share traded: 4.20 crore), SBI (numbers of share traded: 4.09 crore), SAIL (numbers of share traded: 4.04 crore) and Bank of Baroda (numbers of share traded: 3.84 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 245.6 points up at 16130.75, while BSE Sensex ended up 872.73 points at 53823.36.

On the other hand, JSW Steel Ltd. (down 0.86 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd. (down 0.35 per cent), Shree Cements Ltd. (down 0.31 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd. (down 0.20 per cent) and NTPC Ltd. (down 0.08 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
