
CBSE Board Class 10th Result 2021 Updates: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the class 10 results on August 3, 2021. Students can check their results at cbse.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in, cbse.gov.in and cbseresults.gov.in.
A total of 21,13,767 candidates registered for the class 10 exams, of which results of 20,97,128 students have been released. A total of 16,639 students results are under process, dates of their result release will be announced later.
The Class 10 examinations were scheduled to start on May 4 and end on June 7, in offline mode. The practical examinations were to be conducted from March 1. However, the surge in Covid-19 cases caused the Board to announce the cancellation of Class 10 examinations.
The CBSE results for Class 10 students are being prepared on the basis of an alternative means of assessment, as the examinations could not be conducted due to the pandemic.

According to this alternative assessment plan, 20 marks are based on internal assessments which have been conducted by schools, 10 marks are allotted to periodic/unit tests, 30 marks are allotted to half-yearly exams, and 40 marks are allotted to pre-board exam scores. In case any school has not conducted a particular component of assessment, a Result Committee has been formed in every school to decide on the criteria for awarding marks.
As many as 91.46 per cent of students had passed the exam in 2020. This was a slight increase from 2019 when 91.1 per cent of students could clear the class 10 board exams conducted by the CBSE. This was a huge leap from 88.67 per cent in 2018.
The CBSE Class 10 result links are still active on official websites- cbseresults.nic.in or cbse.gov.in. Students can still check their results with their roll numbers or registration numbers. It is adivsed for students to get a printout of their scores for future reference.
A total of 17,636 students have been placed under the compartment category in class 10, as per results declared by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday. In 2020, over 1.5 lakh class 10 students were placed under compartment, while the figure was 1.38 lakh in 2019.
The overall pass percentage of Delhi government schools stood at 97.52 percent, over 11 percent higher than last year's pass percentage of 82.61.
In the class 10 CBSE results declared yesterday, over 180 students from Delhi government schools have secured 95 per cent marks while the number of schools with a 100 percent pass percentage is over five times more than 2020, according to CBSE data on class 10 results declared on Tuesday.

Arunachal Pradesh has recorded the lowest overall passing percentage of 77.90 percent, followed by Sikkim at 93.29 percent.
Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Mizoram, Nagaland, Lakshadweep, Meghalaya and Goa are the states in which girls and boys have recorded a 100 percent girl-boy passing percentage (overall).
In 2020, the overall pass percentage recorded was 91.46 percent while this year, the over percentage reached 99.04 percent, nearly an 8 percent increase. CBSE, this year, did not conduct regular offline exams. It decided to assess students based on a special evaluation scheme in which their marks were relied upon past performances in class 10, 11 and a little bit of 12th.

After the class 10 CBSE results, students now have to move to the next step of choosing the course or stream that they'll be specialising in class 11 and class 12. Based on choice, students have to pick from science, arts and commerce.
Students can also down the 'Umang' app which is available on Google Playstore. To access results on the app, students need to log in using roll number and date of birth. The full marksheet will appear on the phone screen, which students can download and get a printout for future reference.

This year, the CBSE has achieved the highest ever pass percentage of 99.04 per cent with girls outshining boys by a slender margin of 0.35 per cent.
Over 57,000 students have scored above 95 per cent marks in class 10 while the number of candidates scoring between 90 and 95 per cent has gone up to over two lakh, according to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
