Georgia Love raises over $6000 for Pancare Foundation during Dry July - after losing her mother to pancreatic cancer in 2016
Georgia Love has expressed her delight at raising over $6000 for the Pancare Foundation.
The former Bachelorette star shared her fundraising page for her efforts during Dry July to her Instagram on Tuesday.
The 32-year-old said she was 'thrilled' to bring in $6044 for Pancare, who are billed as 'Australia's only charity fighting pancreatic, liver, biliary, oesophageal and stomach cancer.'

'Thank you. Thank you thank you thank you everyone who donated and supported me through @dryjuly.
'I am THRILLED to have raised more than $6000, but that's only a small part of the massive $325,724 raised for @pancarefoundation by many more amazing fundraisers!' she wrote in her caption.
'I am so grateful. All of this money will go towards helping families going through pancreatic cancer journeys as well as vital research into finding ways to detect and treat this terrible disease.'

Dry July is a cancer charity drive where participants ask friends and family to sponsor them to abstain from alcohol during the month of July. The funds raised by those taking part go to cancer charities.

Speaking on the Lemonade podcast with her friend, Elizabeth Anile, Georgia said she was still processing her grief.
She added that 'nothing felt real' during that period in her life, including the death of her mother, due to the experience of filming The Bachelorette.
'While I was devastated at the time, I feel like the reality and the grief of it didn't hit for another few months, when all of a sudden it was like, "Oh, she hasn't come back,"' she said.
