Patna, Aug 2 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday cleared the air around the NDA government's performance and said that the coalition is performing smoothly with every member of the alliance being given due importance.
Kumar said so while responding to a query of media persons regarding a statement made by Panchayati Raj Minister Samrat Chaudhary from BJP quota in his cabinet that the NDA government was not performing smoothly. "It was totally wrong and baseless. NDA government was performing smoothly and views all coalition partners were being given due importance," he said.
"If Mr Chaudhary feels that his views are not being heard in government, he can talk to me or in his party BJP", Chief Minister said adding he did not notice uneasiness among coalition partners in the government. Even during the recently held Monsoon session of the Bihar legislature, no such thing was visible," he pointed out.
As it is, Chaudhary had alleged that running a coalition government was a tough challenge and no one was listening to his views. He, however, said that the media was presenting a distorted statement. What was being said quoting his statement, was baseless and concocted, he stressed.
Chief Minister Mr Kumar is heading the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government in Bihar comprising his party JD(U), BJP, HAM and VIP.
