    Zee Ent. shares gain 0.35% as Sensex rises

    Synopsis

    The stock quoted a 52-week high of Rs 261.0 and a 52-week low of Rs 134.75.

    Shrikant Chouhan of Kotak Securities said Nifty50 topping the 15,800 mark was completely unexpected.
    Shares of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. traded 0.35 per cent higher in Monday's session at 01:21PM (IST). The stock opened at Rs 205.0 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 205.0 and Rs 201.75, respectively, during the session so far.

    The stock quoted a 52-week high of Rs 261.0 and a 52-week low of 134.75. About 177,658 shares changed hands on the counter so far.

    Benchmark Nifty50 was up 114.6 points at 15877.65, while the BSE Sensex traded 359.19 points higher at 52946.03 at the time of writing of this report.

    In the Nifty pack, 40 stocks traded the day in the green, while 10 were in the red.


    Key Financials
    For the quarter ended 31-Mar-2021, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 1984.39 crore, down 28.02 per cent from the previous quarter's Rs 2756.93 crore and down 0.37 per cent from the year-ago quarter. The company reported net profit of Rs 275.73 crore for the latest quarter.

    Promoter Holdings
    Promoters held 3.99 per cent stake in the company as of 30-Jun-2021, while FIIs held 57.46 per cent and MFs 8.1 per cent.

    Technicals
    On the technical charts, the 200-Day Moving Average (DMA) of the stock stood at Rs 206.69 on August 02, while the 50-DMA was at Rs 213.49. If a stock trades above 50-DMA and 200-DMA, it usually means the immediate trend is upward. On the other hand, if the stock trades well below 50-DMA and 200-DMA both, it is considered as bearish trend and if trades between these averages, then it suggests the stock can go either way.
