Bhopal, 02 Aug’21: Right before India vs Belgium men’s hockey semi-final match in Tokyo Olympics 2020, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan called Vivek Sagar to congratulate and motivate him.
The Chief Minister on his phone with Vivek said, “Many congratulations to you and the Indian hockey team for their excellent performance in the Tokyo Olympics, I am proud of you and have full confidence that the Indian hockey team will continue to achieve success. Play well, win, and lots of best wishes and congratulations from Madhya Pradesh.”
Chief Minister Chouhan expressed that, Vivek Sagar, who hails from Hoshangabad district, and other players of the Indian men’s hockey team have performed brilliantly.
Vivek Sagar also scored a goal in the Hockey Olympic match against Argentina, as a result of which India’s team was victorious.
With performers such as Vivek, the Indian team reached the quarter-finals by winning 3-1 against Great Britain.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Vivek Sagar has increased the fame of Madhya Pradesh. Due to the policy of promotion of sportspersons in the state, many talents are performing well at the national and international levels.
