Jenna Dewan is opening up about the isolating emotions she went through after welcoming her daughter, Everly, in 2013.
The 40-year-old actress spoke on the Dear Gabby podcast and reflected about the hardships she was facing after giving birth to Everly, whom she shares with ex-husband Channing Tatum.

Jenna revealed that when she gave birth to Everly in London, Channing had been filming in the area, and that she had to travel back with a newborn to Canada to work herself.
“I had to travel with her and at the time, Chan wasn’t available to be with us for the most part,” Jenna shared about traveling to Vancouver to resume filming on Witches of East End at that time. “So, it was me, my doula and Evie all by ourselves traveling at six weeks.”
She added that it was “really hard because that was long hours. I did have her on set with me constantly. It was just really difficult.”
“I had a lot of postpartum anxiety I would say,” Jenna continued. “It was like, I just never stopped. You know, you’re up a couple times in the night and then you’re working all day. I was breastfeeding, I was pumping, I was without a partner, I mean it was just craziness.”
However, with her second child, Callum, whom she shares with fiancé Steve Kazee, it was much different.
“This time around, I was so grounded,” Jenna says. “Even though the world was crazy, I was home and in this love nest and it was different.”
Last week, Mandy Moore also spoke about the isolating feelings she faced as a new mother.
