Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

NEW DELHI: Sun Pharma (Rs. 791.45 crore), IRCTC (Rs. 681.23 crore), Tata Power (Rs. 336.52 crore), Tata Steel (Rs. 301.12 crore), Vedanta (Rs. 263.29 crore), Britannia (Rs. 257.49 crore), Bandhan Bank (Rs. 242.45 crore), BHEL (Rs. 222.72 crore), IDFC First Bank (Rs. 210.17 crore) and SAIL (Rs. 204.43 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 09:59AM in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index traded 97.6 points up at 15860.65, while BSE Sensex was up 310.64 points at 52897.48 as of 09:59AM (IST) on August 02.

In the Nifty index, Grasim Industries Ltd. (up 3.00 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (up 2.48 per cent), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (up 1.79 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd. (up 1.79 per cent) and Axis Bank Ltd. (up 1.73 per cent) were among the top gainers.

On the other hand, UPL Ltd. (down 1.82 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (down 0.72 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd. (down 0.61 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd. (down 0.58 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (down 0.35 per cent) were among the top losers.
