Leandra Engelbrecht has been appointed as the editor of South Africa’s premier entertainment news website, Channel24.
Channel24, which is part of News24, launched its new look and content strategy in August 2020 and now, a year later, is proud to welcome its new editor.
Leandra, who has been part of the Channel24 team for more than seven years, previously headed up the TV and film sections.
"I’m excited to take over the reins and continue to build on Channel24’s legacy. We’re as committed as ever to offering South African readers quality entertainment news," Leandra said.
As the leading entertainment news website in the country, Channel24’s focus is on providing a diverse and multi-cultural offering of local and international entertainment news, as well as well-researched and in-depth arts, literature, film, TV, and music reviews and analysis.

Herman will now be taking on the role of News24’s lifestyle editor.
