CBSE Class 10th Result 2021 not today, check how to download roll number

CBSE Board Class 10th Result 2021: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will not be declaring the class 10 board result today. The board in its previous notices had said that the result for class 10 students is expected to be released by July 15. The students should keep their roll numbers handy once the result is announced by CBSE. The board will declare the result on the official websites — cbseresults.nic.in, cbse.gov.in 

Last week, the board released the ‘roll number finder’ portal for students to check their board roll numbers. CBSE had cancelled the board exams of classes 10 and 12 this year due to a rise in the number of Covid-19 cases. Therefore, the admit cards of the students were not released.

Step 1: Visit the website – www.cbse.gov.in/cbsenew/cbse.html

Step 2: On the homepage, click on ‘Roll number finder’

Step 3: On the new page, select your class

Step 4: Enter your name, school code, father’s name and mother’s name

Step 5: Click on search data

Step 6: Your roll number will appear on the screen

The Delhi High Court has granted time to the CBSE to respond to a plea concerning the methodology of assessment of private class 10 students after the examination was cancelled on account of the COVID-19 pandemic earlier this year. Justice Prateek Jalan, hearing a petition moved by the mother of a private class 10 student, passed the order after time was sought by the counsel for the board.

“Rupesh Kumar, learned counsel for the CBSE, seeks ten days’ further time to take instructions on the methodology for assessment of private candidates for the class 10 examinations,” the judge recorded in the order dated July 29 as he listed the matter for further hearing on August 23.

The notice to CBSE in the petition was issued in June when the court granted six weeks’ time to the education body to clarify its stand. In her petition, Payal Bahl has submitted that while students have been declared as “pass” after the announcement of the cancellation of examinations, CBSE has not issued any notification regarding its policy on how marks are to be awarded to private students.
