Thane city reports 60 new Covid-19 cases; no vaccination on Tuesday

THANE: Thane city on Monday reported 60 new Covid-19 cases, taking the overall case count to 1,35,846.
During the day, 71 people were also discharged from hospitals post-recovery. Till date, 1,33,204 people have been recovered.
However, one person with co-morbidities died on Monday. So far, 2,066 people from the city have lost their lives due to the virus.
The recovery rate stands at 98.06 per cent, while the doubling rate is 1,989 days.
Active cases in the city now stands at 576.
Among the new cases, Majiwada-Manpada reported 20 cases, 12 people tested positive in Kalwa, followed by 11 in Vartak Nagar, five in Diva, four in Naupada-Kopri, and two each in Uthalsar and Wagale.
Four cases were found from out of Thane jurisdiction. No new case was found in Lokmanya-Savarkar Nagar.
Meanwhile, the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) informed that the Covid-19 vaccination will not take place on Tuesday.
"Vaccination at TMC centres will remain closed on August 3, 2021," said TMC.
