Hyderabad: The government of Telangana adopted a resolution in a cabinet meeting to give reservations to economically weaker sections (EWS) in employment and education. To take advantage of this facility, the family income should be less than 8 lakhs per annum. It was also decided to relax the work quota for the EWS for 5 years.
The cabinet meeting has decided to set up 7 new medical colleges and 5 super-specialty hospitals in government work, which will start from next year. All of these super-specialty hospitals in the state are known as the Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS).
It was also decided to bring all divisions of medical facilities under one roof to turn them into integrated medical colleges to provide medical facilities to the public.
Cabinet also decided to set up a multi-specialty hospital in Patancheru for labor and the general public
The health secretary was instructed to get details of the children who both lost their parents COVID-19 pandemic. The cabinet has decided to set up a sub-cabinet committee under the Minister for Women and Children’s Welfare Satyavathi Rathod to look after such children.
The health officials were instructed to carry it out COVID-19 tests in all districts and to undertake vaccinations at point of war. Instructions have also been issued to the Ministry of Finance to waive loans given to farmers, which could benefit up to about 6 lakh farmers in the state.
