India Record Trent Bridge: Will Virat Kohli’s India continue their winning run at Trent Bridge? Check records

India vs England, 1st Test: India Record Trent Bridge India skipper Virat Kohli would like to continue India’s decent run at Trent Bridge in the opening Test against England, starting August 4. Considering India last won a Test series in England in 2007, winning the opening match will be crucial in the five-match series. To do that, India will draw inspiration from its decent record in Nottingham where India have played 7 and won two, losing as many matches.

Three remaining fixtures have ended in draws. India had defeated England in the last Test played at Trent Bridge. They won the match by 203 runs in August 2018 and are yet to lose a Test at the venue since 2011. The second-last Test in 2014 had ended in a draw.

Ishant Sharma is one of India’s impressive bowlers at the venue. He has taken 12 wickets in 3 Tests. Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah had taken a five-wicket haul. He will be aiming to continue his good track record. Other bowlers in the form of Mohd Shami and Umesh Yadav need to pull up their shocks in the pacers-friendly track.
