Manikantan Viswanathan joins as Chief Financial Officer of PI Industries; Stock ends over 12.5% up

Viswanathan took charge as CFO of the company effective from August 01, 2021.

PI Industries board approves appointment of Manikantan Viswanathan as Chief Financial Officer. Furthermore, the company's Group Chief Financial Officer (KMP), Rajiv Batra has relinquished the company's office.

Batra resigned due to personal reasons and his exit from the Group CFO post comes in effect from July 31, 2021.

Meanwhile, Viswanathan took charge as CFO of the company effective from August 01, 2021.

Viswanathan is a qualified Chartered Accountant and also possesses a B.Sc. degree in Physics.

Manikantan has extensive Management and Leadership experience of more than 30 years in the Finance, Merger & Acquisitions, Commercial, Legal field and has extensive exposure to chemical industry operations. He has also handled business operations involving cross border structuring including large transfer pricing cases. Before joining he has held several senior positions with Reliance Group, Godrej Group and Galaxy Surfactants. Until recently, as Group Chief Financial Officer, he headed the finance functions in Rossari Biotech Limited.

On Sensex, PI Industries stock closed at Rs3318.90 per piece up by 12.6%. The stock has touched a new 52-week high of Rs3355 per piece earlier today.
