Special drive infused some interest among tribal youths for vaccination in Dhalai

Ambassa (Tripura), Aug 01 (UNI) The five-day long special drive for COVID vaccination succeeded to infuse some interest among tribal youths for vaccination in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai here.
Yesterday on the fifth day of the special drive of vaccination Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Manoj Kanti Deb took stock of the situation in remote areas like Dhanchandra VC, Mendi VC for inspiring people in favour of vaccination along with CMO Dr Chitan Debbarma, SDMO Dr Anjan Das, SDM Abhijit Chakraborty and others.
There some tribal youths were found willingly approaching for vaccination. One such youth was Badarlal Halam from remote Paikar para.
He said, "I have taken my first jab today. There were some rumours the provoke people against vaccination. But I realised the need of it to fight against COVID. And I would like to tell the people who have not taken vaccine yet to come up". Another tribal youth Jasangmoy Halam from Nepaltilla arrived at his relative's house and approached for vaccination.
He said, "It is a fact that, vaccination is the only means to fight COVID. And it is a must for us all. So I urge the people to come up and take the opportunity of jabbing into free vaccination".
The effort of the government at least resulted in some hope in the fight against COVID in the district.
