A 16-year-old boy is fighting for his life after he was stabbed at a park in Tottenham in a broad daylight attack. 

Police were called to Adams Road just next to Lordship Recreation Ground in Tottenham, north London, at 2.17pm today after reports of a stabbing. 

They found the boy with stab injuries and he was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. 

A police spokesman has said the boy is in a critical condition.

The spokesman said: 'Police were called to Adams Road, N17, at 14.17hrs on Sunday, 1 August to reports of a stabbing.

'Officers attended along with paramedics from London Ambulance Service (LAS) and London's Air Ambulance.

'A 16-year-old boy was found with stab injuries. He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.

'A scene has been put in place. There has been no arrest. Enquiries continue.'
