#Kolkata: South Bengal ahead in rains. Even in the monsoon season, there is a shortage of rain in North Bengal. Kolkata receives the heaviest rainfall due to low pressure. According to the Alipore Meteorological Department, 319 per cent more rain fell across South Bengal from July 26 to 30 due to the apparent low pressure in West Bengal. Kolkata alone received 362 percent more rainfall.
