After 105 days, Delhi zoo reopens in two shifts with online ticket booking facility
After being closed for 105 days, Delhi's National Zoological Park reopened for the public on Sunday. The zoo was temporarily shut due to a rise in Covid-19 cases in the national capital during the second wave. "On the first day, more than 92 per cent of tickets were sold. Due to this prolonged disconnection behaviour between public and animals, few species will take time to adjust whereas others remain indifferent," said Ramesh Pandey, Director, National Zoological Park.

Twelve people who impersonated executives of an e-commerce giant were arrested for allegedly cheating foreigners on the pretext of providing them technical support, the Delhi Police said on Sunday. The accused were identified as Mandeep Singh (39), Sattick Chakraborty (24), Harpreet Singh (30), Nitin Choudhary (26), Jobin George (25), Hanumantu Rao (38), Mohit Gupta (30), Nitesh Kumar (32), Subhodeep Bhattacharya (20), Moumita Majumdar (25), Diksha Khetarpal (28) and Shaba Khatun (25), they said.
CISF nabs man with fake civil aviation ministry, AAI IDs at Delhi airport
The CISF has apprehended an alleged conman, possessing fake IDs of the Civil Aviation Ministry and the AAI, from the Delhi airport who duped people on the promise of providing them jobs at the facility, officials said on Sunday. Akash Babu was intercepted and detained on Saturday morning from the foyer area of the terminal-III of the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Aiport as his behaviour was found suspicious, a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) spokesperson said.
As rains continued to lash Delhi, extensive waterlogging and traffic snarls were reported at several places in the city on Sunday. The Safdarjung Observatory, considered the official marker for Delhi, recorded 28.2 mm rainfall, while the Ridge station registered 28.6 mm rainfall from 8.30 am on Saturday to 8.30 am on Sunday, officials said. According to the Public Works Department, Yamuna Bazar, Khanpur, Rohtak Road, Lodhi Road, Azadpur underpass, Zakhira underpass, Shakti Nagar underpass, Kirari, Sagarpur, among others witnessed severe waterlogging.

Day after road cave-in, DJB says leakages in underground water pipeline plugged
The leakages in an underground water pipeline beneath the IIT-Delhi flyover, where a portion of the road caved in after rains on Saturday, have been plugged, the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) said on Sunday. "After working round the clock, the leakages of waterline under the IIT flyover have been attended. One upstream manhole is being plugged and @pwddelhi (Public Works Department) has constructed the road," the DJB tweeted.
