Paul Gosar's Family Tears Into Him in Op-Ed—'Have You No Sense of Decency?'

Paul Gosar's siblings have torn into their brother, branding his record "shameful and destructive" in a fiery op-ed published on Sunday.

Dave, Jennifer and Tim Gosar took aim at the Republican representative, asking if he had "no sense of decency" over his controversial actions.

"It seems, in fact, that you are immune to shame," began the opinion piece published on NBC News' website.

The siblings claimed Gosar had decided "to betray your country" in stirring up the crowd on January 6, before the deadly riot at the U.S. Capitol.

"In addition to betraying your family and causing irreparable damage to the relationships within it, you decide to betray your country by helping incite the Jan. 6 domestic terrorist attack on the Capitol," the Gosars wrote.

The family members listed a string of their brother's recent actions—including his claims thousands of ballots in Arizona had been tampered with—that they said was "causing irreparable damage" to his relationship with them.

They further attacked the lawmaker, questioning his association with white nationalist Nick Fuentes, 22, adding: "How is it that a hateful boy 40 years your junior is able to lead you around by your nose?"

The op-ed later added: "And what about Fuentes' disgusting and appalling Holocaust denial you have never once condemned?"

At the end of June, Gosar was linked with a supposed fundraiser with Fuentes, but has denied any knowledge of it.

In the op-ed, Gosar was also attacked for laying blame for the Charlottesville Neo-Nazi on an Obama sympathizer, marching with British far-right figure Tommy Robinson and for claiming COVID-19 had been "overblown."

It is not the first time the representative's siblings have hit out at their brother, having previously called for his removal, citing involvement in the Capitol riots.

In January, Jennifer Gosar told CNN's Alisyn Camerota: "The message to my brother is that you know, he must resign, if not be expelled, from Congress."

She added: "The point in time to reach my brother, I think that's been passed. I know that at this point, the most that we can do as citizens, as constituents, as the public, demand that the members of Congress involved be held accountable, and that includes his expulsion."

Her comments came after far-right activist Ali Alexander named the staunch Trump ally as being instrumental in helping plan the January 6 riot.
