Temple cash box stolen, three arrested

Thane, Jul 31 (UNI) The MBVV Police arrested three persons on the alleged charges of theft of cash from the temple cash box of a Jain temple at Devchand nagar in Bhayander the police said on Saturday.
The police said that the trio had broken into the temple on July 20 and stole the cash box itself.
An offence of theft was registered with the Bhayander police station on July 28, following a complaint by the temple management.
The police checked the CCTV footage and based on other inputs including intelligence inputs nabbed the trio.
Their names were given as Nandaram Nypoane,44, Janak takal, and Ganesh Nyopane, 26 the police said.
They were produced before a local magistrate remanded them into police custody for two days.
The police also recovered Rs. 5000 from the arrested of the total cash looted which was Rs. 9000 and the balance of money was being recovered said a police officer.
