RIMS declared 'district green champion'

Imphal, July 31 2021: Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) Imphal has been awarded the "District Green Champion" title by the Union Ministry of Education, Department of Higher Education for the year 2020-21.In a release, RIMS media advisor N Phillip Singh informed that the institution won the honour for successfully setting up the Swachhta Action Plan Committee and adopting and implementing best practices in the areas of sanitation, hygiene, waste management, water management, energy management and greenery management.

RIMS director Prof A Santa Singh thanked the staff of the institute for working sincerely and with dedication for keeping institute/ hospital neat and clean.

He also appreciated the roles of all stakeholders in supporting the institute to make it better place in the areas of sanitation, hygiene, waste management, water management, energy management and greenery management.

The certificate was presented in the presence of Imphal West deputy commissioner Th Kirankumar Singh, it added.
