A three-year-old child died after falling off the balcony of his house on the fifth floor of Chandigarh Enclave here today.

Ekam, the only child of his parents, was rushed to a private hospital and then referred to the PGI, where he was declared brought dead. The kid and his mother were waiting for his father to return from office. As soon as his father, Amandeep Singh, came around 7 pm, the mother left the balcony to open the door. When the father got out of the kid’s sight, he lunged forward from the balcony to see him, and fell down. — TNS
