Gujarat: Youth booked for raping woman on pretext of marriage

RAJKOT: A 25-year-old youth from Talala (Gir) of Gir-Somnth district was booked for allegedly raping a 21-year-old woman by promising to marry her.
The accused, 25-year-old Shahil Dal, was arrested after the woman lodged a complaint with Talala (Gir) police station.
“He promised to marry me and took me to different places in Gir-Somanth and Rajkot district for the past six-months and raped me,” she said in her complaint. Dal earns his livelihood by driving an auto-rickshaw.
