The kitchen is an essential aspect of any Indian home, as it is where we get our daily energy. Every single gadget in your kitchen is significant, and if it is positioned according to vastu principles, it may ensure that positivity reigns supreme.

Vastu Shastra is an ancient Indian science of balancing energies, and the kitchen is the place of transformation where raw and uncooked food is transformed into delicious meals. You receive positive energy by consuming the food and that’s why it makes you feel good, happy, and content.

Vastu Tips For Kitchen

1. According to Vastu, the Lord of Fire- Agni reigns in the southeast direction of the home. Hence, the platform of the kitchen should be placed in the East and South-East corners.

2. The cooking gas burner should be placed in the South-East corner of the kitchen.

3. Install wash-basin or sink in the North-East of the kitchen.

4. To keep drinking water and utensils for drinking water, use the North-East or Northside. 

5. Place the grain boxes, pulses, various spices, salt, etc. in the South or West direction. As per vastu, storing grains and other stock in the southwest direction of the kitchen invites good luck and prosperity.

6. Windows helps in removing negativity from your home. As per vastu experts, include at least two windows/gaps in the East and West walls of the kitchen and install an exhaust fan in any of the windows. 

7. Use yellow, orange, rose, or red colors to paint the kitchen. Avoid using dark grey, blue, brown, and black.

8. Place a refrigerator in the South-East, South, West, or North direction of the kitchen. If the refrigerator is in a South-West direction of the kitchen then place it a foot away from the wall else it will often get out-of-order.

9. Always plan the layout properly. The entrance should be in the east, north, or west.

Things to avoid:

1. The kitchen should not be directly under or above toilets.

2. Today’s kitchens are filled with electrical appliances. Avoid placing electric appliances in the wrong place.

3. Avoid placing the stove and sink next to each other.

4. As per vastu, the kitchen should not be in the northeast.
