NOIDA: In a brazen crime in the posh area of Sector 55, four unknown and masked assailants allegedly took three daughters of an RSS executive aged between 10 and 14 years at gunpoint and looted Rs 3 lakh in cash and gold jewellery worth about one lakh rupees.
The incident pertains to around 7.15pm on Wednesday when the accused – all armed with country-made pistols- allegedly barged into the house from the main gate and simply took the children at gunpoint.
A cook working for the family and the three daughters – Jahnvi (14),
Akshita (12) and Vanya (10)-were alone at the time of the incident while the owner of the house Karan Aneja and his wife Vandana Aneja were out.
While Karan, the sah sampark pramukh of the Noida mahanagar unit of the RSS, was out for some work, his wife Vandana had gone to the market at the time of the incident. She told TOI that the accused entered from the main gate.
“One of the accused simply entered the room and sat behind my second daughter who was busy working on the computer and was shocked to see a masked person holding a pistol. When my daughter Akshita asked how they could enter their house, he took my daughter at gunpoint and simply led them to the room next to the kitchen,” she said.
The family’s cook who was in the kitchen too was scared and shocked to see the armed accused but the accused simply took the girls and the cook to the room next to the kitchen and kept guarding near them.
As the girls got scared, the youngest one Vanya started crying.
Akshita told TOI that one of the accused showed him the pistol after opening it saying that they wanted money.
“We got scared and when I saw the pistol, I got scared but we understood they wanted to take money and belongings. They were in the house for some 40 minutes. While one of them sat with us with a pistol in his hand, the three others took the cash and jewellery by opening almirahs. All of the accused had pistols in their hands,” she said.
As little Vanya started crying, the accused gave her water and told her that they were only interested in money.
The accused also broke a tablet belonging to the children as its camera was switched off.
One of the accused allegedly sat behind the second daughter and took her at gunpoint before dragging the child in another room near the kitchen where the family’s cook was present.
The accused put the cook and the three children in the room and one of them kept sitting with them to keep an eye on them.
The other three accused looted the cash and gold from almirahs in the other rooms.
The accused stayed in the house for around 40 minutes before the children’s mother arrived.
Sources said the accused have been captured in one of the cameras installed at the main gate of the house.
Additional commissioner of police (Noida) Ranvijay Singh said that they have identified and caught six accused in connection with the incident and some of the weapons and jewellery has been recovered.
“Four persons have entered the house but total six persons were involved in the planning. We have detained them and are lodging an FIR under IPC section 392 (robbery),” he said.
Asked if the section will be changed to dacoity, he said that the same will be done after investigation.
