A 55-year-old Minnesota woman who was allegedly beheaded in broad daylight by her boyfriend had begged the court to allow her to see him, even after he’d been arrested previously for allegedly assaulting her.
The body of the woman, America Mafalda Thayer, was discovered by a car in Shakopee, Minn., on Wednesday.
Officer recovered a large knife nearby and arrested her boyfriend, Alexis Saborit, 42. He was charged with second-degree murder.
Saborit was convicted of gross misdemeanor assault against Thayer in 2017, The Sun reported.
A pre-trial no-contact order had been put in place, but in a handwritten note Thayer begged to have it removed, according to The Sun.
“I live with Alexis Saborit for 4 year, we never have a problem,” she wrote in part.
“He don’t have anyone an [sic] this country and don’t speak English,” she added. “I need to be in contact with him to help us!”

“We will go to any treatment recommended,” she said. “I need the no contact order removed please.”
The court granted her petition.
The previous arrest occurred after Thayer called police from her home, where officers found Saborit holding her to the ground.
Thayer told police the fight began when they were at a bar and Saborit “thought she was talking to another man,” The Sun reported.
