Hyderabad, Jul 31 (UNI) Telangana registered 621 COVID-19 fresh cases till 1730 hours on Saturday pushing cumulative cases to 6,44,951 so far.
With the death of 2 patients in the last 24 hours, the toll in the state due to the pandemic now stands at 3,802 translating a case fatality rate of 0.58 per cent as against the countrywide mortality rate of 1.3 per cent, according to the bulletin issued by the Office of the Director, Public Health and Family Welfare here today.
As many as 691 people have recuperated from Coronavirus statewide in the past 24 hours to take the total number of recoveries thus far to 6,32,080 constituting a recovery rate of 98 per cent while the national average was 97.34 per cent.
Currently, the number of active cases in the state stands at 9,069, the bulletin said.
A total of 1,13,012 samples were tested in the state during the last 24 hours to detect the contagious virus out of which the results of 2249 swab samples are awaited.
Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, 2,20,06,215 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the state so far, the bulletin said.
