    NEW DELHI: Shares of (India) Ltd. traded 0.91 per cent down in Friday's trade at 02:09PM (IST). Around 14,207 shares changed hands on the counter.

    The counter opened at Rs 1711.0 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 1737.55 and Rs 1670.15, respectively, in the session so far. The stock of Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 1823.0 and a 52-week low of Rs 1322.8.

    Total market cap of the Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd. stood at Rs 46135.56 crore at the time of writing this report.

    Key Financials
    The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 1171.18 crore for the quarter ended 30-Jun-2021, down 9.2 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 1289.81 crore and down 11.87 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 1046.9 crore.

    The net profit for latest quarter stood at Rs 233.23 crore, up 17.69 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.

    Shareholding pattern
    As of 30-Jun-2021, domestic institutional investors held 2.57 per cent stake in the firm, while foreign institutional investors held 18.61 per cent and the promoters 51.0 per cent.


    Valuation ratio
    According to BSE data, the stock traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of 43.1 and a price-to-book ratio of 36.38. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
