New Delhi, Jul 30 (UNI) Taking strong exception to some of the Opposition members whistling and showing placards in the House, Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu on Friday advised members to refrain from such actions and adjourned the proceedings till 1200 hrs.
As soon as the House assembled for the day, Naidu made an earnest appeal to the members to maintain the dignity of the House and expressed concern over continued disruption.
Serving the warning, Naidu said that the patience of the House should not be exhausted.
But soon after the papers were laid on the table and Zero Hour began, commotion ensued forcing the first adjournment of the day. The Chairman adjourned the House till 1200 hrs.
Over the alleged Pegasus snooping, farm laws and other issues, Opposition members have been continuously protesting ever since the Monsoon session of Parliament began on July 19. As the stalemate continues, the first two weeks of the session have been a virtual wash-out.
