Kumar in his order asked all block education officers of Unnao to carry out the electrification in accordance with the rules. “At no cost will anyone be allowed to carry out work which is against the government rules,” Kumar said.

According to officials, the basic education department has sanctioned nearly Rs 3 crore for the electrification of 932 schools. Of this, 702 schools were provided with electric connections. For the electrification in the remaining 230 schools, Jai Singh who took over as BSA Unnao on July 1, nominated Tripathi Traders located at Lucknow road in Sultanpur.
