(Rs. 1205.11 crore), SAIL (Rs. 1198.92 crore), SRF (Rs. 1114.59 crore), RIL (Rs. 1073.21 crore) and Ashok Leyland (Rs. 1048.51 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Friday's session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 15.4 points down at 15763.05, while BSE Sensex fell 66.23 points to 52586.84.
In the Nifty index, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (up 10.09 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd. (up 7.25 per cent), Cipla Ltd. (up 4.18 per cent), Shree Cements Ltd. (up 2.27 per cent) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (up 2.25 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Hindalco Industries Ltd. (down 2.90 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (down 2.69 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd. (down 2.68 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (down 2.58 per cent) and State Bank of India (down 2.21 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
