SEBA HSLC 10th Result 2021 Assam Board: How to check

The pass percentage has zoomed to over 93 per cent in class 10 Assam state board examination this year from less than 65 per cent in last year. Since results have been prepared on the basis of data provided by the School Evaluation Committees as well as District Level Scrutiny Committees, SEBA said there will not be any provision for recounting, re-evaluation of marks and providing of photocopies of answer scripts.

In the HSLC results, a total of 3,97,132 students passed out of 4,26,553 candidates, registering a pass percentage of 93.10 per cent. The boys outshine this time in the matriculation results with 93.34 per cent, while 92.90 per cent of the girls passed in the HSLC exams. A total of 88,521 students passed in the first division, 1,60,298 in the second division and 1,48,313 in the third division in this year’s HSLC examination. A total of 10,348 students got distinction (85 per cent and above) and 20,092 secured star marks (75 per cent and above) in the HSLC.

Likewise in the Assam High Madrasa (AHM) examinations 2021, 11,438 students out of 12,275 students passed, a 93.18 per cent passing percentage. Out of this, 93.58 per cent were boys and 92.93 per cent were girls. A total of 1,759 students passed in the first division, 5,586 in the second division and 4,093 in the third division in AHM results.

On June 18, 2021, Assam had cancelled the board examinations for both classes 10 and 12. The Education Minister of the state, Ranoj Pegu said that the Assam government cancelled the state board examinations on account of the second wave of the pandemic.

The class 10 exams in the state get conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA). Nearly, 7 lakh students registered to appear for the board exams this year, out of which 2.5 lakh students are of HS final year and remaining are for HSLC and AHM.

Around 3.58 lakh students appeared in the HSLC exam in 2020. With 64.80 per cent, the pass percentage had improved in 2020 from 2019 which was 60.23 per cent. In 2018, the pass percentage was 56.04 per cent, while 47.94 per cent in 2017, and 62.79 per cent in 2016.

No provision for re-counting or re-evaluation this year: SEBA

Following the cancellation of the examination, an expert committee devised a formula for the evaluation which was done on the basis of data provided by the School Evaluation Committees as well as District Level Scrutiny Committees, SEBA said "As the results are declared on the basis of information provided by the school, there will not be any provision for recounting, re-evaluation of marks and providing of photocopies of answer scripts," it added.

Assam High Madrasa examination result 2021 declared

In Assam High Madrasa (AHM) examination 2021 examinations, 11,438 students out of 12,275 students passed, a 93.18 per cent passing percentage. Out of this, 93.58 per cent were boys and 92.93 per cent were girls. A total of 1,759 students passed in the first division, 5,586 in the second division and 4,093 in the third division in AHM results.

Pass percentage increased from last year

A total of 93.10 per cent of candidates have been declared pass this year in Assam Board SEBA HSLC 10th Result 2021. In 2020, the pass percentage was 64.80 per cent, which was the highest in the past five years. It improved slightly from 2019 when the pass percentage was 60.23 per cent. In 2018, the pass percentage was 56.04 per cent, while 47.94 per cent in 2017, and 62.79 per cent in 2016.

Mora than 10,000 students achieved distinction this year

A total of 10,348 candidates got distinction marks (510 and above out of 600 marks) in Assam Board SEBA HSLC 10th Result 2021, while 20,092 achieved star marks by scoring 450 and above under the evaluation formula adopted for this year.

First, second and third division

A total of 88,521 students got first division in Assam Board SEBA HSLC 10th Result 2021, whereas 1.6 lakh secured second division. About 1.48 lakh students passed with third division. A total of 4.26 lakh candidates were registered in class 10 this year.

Boys had outperformed girls in 2020

The pass percentage of male students was 66.93 per cent in 2020 whereas the female pass percentage was 62.91 per cent. Combined, the pass percentage of the Assam Board SEBA HSLC 10th Result 2020 stood at 64.80 per cent.

How many students are awaiting Assam Board SEBA Class 10 result

Assam Board class 10 exams were initially scheduled for May 11, after which the government postponed them. While on June 8, the government had said that the exams will be held in the first two weeks of August, students took to social media, demanding that the exams must be scrapped. On June 18, exams for classes 10 and 12 were cancelled. Around 4.5 lakh students are registered in SEBA HSLC class 10 this year.

How SEBA will awards marks to HSLC students?

HSLC result will be calculated on the basis of their class 9 finals and class 10 pre-board marks. While 40 per cent weightage will be given to class 9 final marks, 40 per cent weightage will be given to the academic performance in class 10 and 20 per cent from to internal assessments and projects.

Most students got third division in 2020

Most of the students who appeared for the Assam Board SEBA HSLC 10th exams in 2020 had got this division. As many as 95628 had cleared the exam in the third division, followed by 77850 in the second and 48278 students who cleared the exam in first division.
