WWE Summerslam: Eversince WWE Summerslam started making news, it got revealed that the sensational rapper Cardi B would be hosting the Biggest Event of the Summer. However, as per the latest reports, it seems like she won’t be able to host the PPV event after all.
Earlier in the summer, WWE confirmed Cardi B’s single “Up” as the official song for Summerslam PPV, but there’s no confirmation on whether Cardi B is hosting the event.
WWE Summerslam: Reason why Cardi B might not host the PPV event
Ever since Cardi B’s single “Up” was announced as the official theme song for WWE Summerslam, rumors were making rounds that the rapper might potentially be hosting the PPV event. The rumors were true to some extent until the news of her pregnancy broke out in late June.
Cardi B is pregnant with her second child, and it is now been revealed that her pregnancy due date is around mid-September. With Summerslam scheduled for August 21 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Paradise, Nevada, it is highly unlikely that the rapper might host the PPV event.
WWE Summerslam: Some lawsuits have advised her to avoid traveling
A new court filing for a lawsuit she is involved in notes that she has been advised to avoid traveling. She is involved in a court battle against blogger Tasha K, and according to AllHipHop, Cardi’s lawyer has asked a judge to delay the mid-September court battle due to pregnancy.
The trial of the $75,000 defamation lawsuit against the blogger was due to begin on September 13- but due to her pregnancy, Cardi’s lawyer is asking to push the trial date later to November 8. All this would likely prevent Cardi B from traveling to the Allegiant Stadium for Summerslam from her home in Atlanta.
WWE Summerslam: If not Cardi B, who will host the PPV event?
As of now, WWE has not locked any particular name to host Summerslam on August 21. However, comedian Tiffany Haddish would be hosting the Summerslam after-party in Las Vegas.
