French regulator consults on rules to avoid interference between 5G and satellite ground stations

France's telecom authority Arcep launched a public consultation on the proposed rules that would ensure the coexistence of 5G networks using 3.4-3.8 GHz spectrum and satellite ground stations operating in the 3.8-4.2 GHz band. This latest document is part of the ongoing work carried out by Arcep to clarify operators' technical restrictions when setting transmit power levels in mainland France, in order to avoid interference likely to occur as a result of 5G deployments.
