Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 6.03 crore), Trident Ltd (number of shares traded: 3.89 crore), SAIL (number of shares traded: 3.28 crore), Suzlon Energy (number of shares traded: 2.89 crore), Zomato Ltd. (number of shares traded: 2.52 crore), Tata Motors (number of shares traded: 2.21 crore), YES Bank (number of shares traded: 2.15 crore), JP Power (number of shares traded: 1.98 crore), Reliance Comm (number of shares traded: 1.53 crore) and PNB (number of shares traded: 1.18 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:14AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 64.1 points up at 15773.5, while BSE Sensex was up 219.28 points at 52662.99 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Tata Motors Ltd. (up 2.92 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd. (up 2.63 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (up 2.41 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd. (up 2.00 per cent) and HCL Technologies Ltd. (up 1.65 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (down 2.35 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (down 1.47 per cent), Cipla Ltd. (down 1.10 per cent), Nestle India Ltd. (down 0.76 per cent) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (down 0.74 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
