Neglected for years, River Valley Colony repairs road on its own

Senapati, July 28 2021: Neglected by the concerned authority for many years, the River Valley Colony under Makhrelui, Senapati volunteered to repair the road leading to the colony by filling the potholes.

Youth members of the colony kept aside regular work to fill the potholes and fix the dilapidated road on their own.

Village secretary of River Valley Colony stated that the road leading to the colony has been in a pathetic condition for many years with numerous potholes.

It is an important inter village road for people under Makhrelui, Senapati.

With no signs of any repair work by the concerned authority, the locals of River Valley Village have now taken it upon themselves to bring about a change and repair the road, the secretary said.

He expressed his gratitude on behalf of the colony to Y Rolland and L Adani for sponsoring the (Shaktiman) vehicle to assist the repair work.

The village secretary further urged the concerned authority to make a pucca road for the welfare of the people of the area.

It may be mentioned that black topping of the road was done way back in 2016-17 and no repair or maintenance was carried out till date.
