Samsung will soon release the One UI 4 based on the Android 12 to its Galaxy S21 series. This became evident after a tipster by the name Ice Universe spotted a banner announcing “Galaxy S21 series One UI 4 beta is coming soon” on Samsung’s community.

The banner reveals Samsung has asked owners of the Galaxy S21, S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra in South Korea to participate in the One UI 4.0 beta program. Both SIM-free and carrier-locked phones can participate in it. The community managers, however, didn’t reveal exactly one the first beta will be rolled out.

Meanwhile, another tipster who goes by the name Chun (@chunvn8888) tweeted that the first One UI 4.0 beta will roll out in August and the stable version will follow in November or the second week of December. For comparison, the One UI 3.0 open beta started in late October and a stable update was rolled out in mid-December.

In a different Tweet thread, the same tipster has also mentioned some of the changes that the One UI 4.0 update is expected to bring.

As per the tipster, the One UI 4.0 is going to bring a massive makeover. The update will bring several changes across UI elements, from icons to bringing some Android 12 features. The tipster claims the Galaxy S21 series or any other phone from Samsung receiving the One UI 4.0 later will adapt the newest Android 12 Material You UI theme that focuses on personalization.

The tipster also claims the new One UI 4.0 beta update will bring better optimization with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888/Exynos 2100 SoCs. We may also see minor updates in Knox, Samsung’s security framework. Samsung Notes app is also expected to gain a makeover “since a lot of devices now support S-Pen,” says the tipster.

Let’s see when exactly the One UI 4.0 comes out for other Samsung devices.
