Ooredoo Oman EBITDA falls 10% in H1, customers up 8%

Ooredoo Oman reported a decrease of 10 percent in EBITDA to QAR 618 million for the first half year ended 30 June and the EBITDA margin was 52 percent, down from 54 percent in H1 2020. Revenue fell by 5 percent due to lower consumer mobile prepaid revenue. However, post-paid revenue continued to grow, driven by the demand to convert prepaid to post-paid, resulting in revenue of QAR 1.2 billion.
