Amidst the fears of a third wave of coronavirus by September/October, good news has come to the fore for Rajasthan. After Madhya Pradesh, the highest number of Kovid antibodies have been found in the people of Rajasthan. The serosurvey report conducted by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) last month revealed that 76 percent of the population here has antibodies against the coronavirus. Similarly, Kerala has the lowest antibody count, which is just 44 percent.
Rajasthan comes second in terms of Covid-19 antibodies after Madhya Pradesh. According to the report, a total of 1,226 random samples were taken from different cities of Rajasthan in June-July. When these samples were tested, antibodies were found in 934 samples. This survey report has indicated the presence of Kovid antibodies in the people of the state.
The serosurvey report further states that the highest number of antibodies across the country have been found in the people of Madhya Pradesh, which is about 79 percent of the population. During the second wave of corona in Rajasthan, about 6 lakh positive cases were found in two and a half months (up to April, May, and mid-June). More than 6,000 people lost their lives due to the Coronavirus.
According to the report, Madhya Pradesh leads the list with antibodies in 79 percent of its population, while Rajasthan is second with 76.2 percent. At the same time, 75.9 percent in Bihar, 75.3 percent in Gujarat, 74.6 percent in Chhattisgarh, 73.1 percent in Uttarakhand, 71 percent in Uttar Pradesh, and 70.2 percent in Andhra Pradesh have been found.
Similarly, antibodies have been found in 69.8 percent of the people of Karnataka. After this, Tamil Nadu has 69.2 percent, Odisha 68.1 percent, Punjab 66.5 percent, Telangana 63.1 percent, Jammu and Kashmir 63 percent, Himachal Pradesh 62 percent, Jharkhand 61.2 percent, West Bengal 60.9 percent, Haryana 60.1 percent. Maharashtra 58 percent, Assam 50.3 percent and Kerala has the lowest 44.4 percent antibodies.
