As the Mumbai Police Crime Branch dig deeper into the Raj Kundra pornography case, several models and actresses have come forward to talk about their past experiences with the businessman, and, or, his associates. Actress Sherlyn Chopra, who had earlier shared a video message claiming that she was the first person to give a statement to the Maharashtra cyber cell, without divulging anything more, had reportedly accused Raj Kundra of sexual misconduct. Sherlyn had appeared before the Mumbai Crime Branch's Property Cell on July 27 to record her statement in connection with the pornography case. She had issued an FIR against Raj in April 2021 of sexual assault. He was charged under section 376 of Indian Penal Code r/w section 384, 415, 420, 504 and 506, 354 (a) (b) (d), 509, of Indian Penal Code, 67, 67 (A), of Information Technology Act 2008, sec 3 & 4 of Indecent Representation of Women Act 1986. Sherlyn, in her complaint, reportedly claimed that in early 2019, Raj Kundra called her business manager about a proposal for her and that he wanted to discuss the proposal. After the business meeting on March 27, 2019, Sherlyn claimed that Raj showed up unannounced at her house due to a heated argument over a text. The actress alleged that once at her home, Raj began kissing her even as she resisted. She claimed she did not want to get involved with a married man or mix business with pleasure. Furthermore, she supposedly said, 'I asked Raj about his relationship with his wife, Shilpa Shetty. He said that it was complicated and that he was stressed most of the time at home.' Somehow, she freed herself from Raj and ran into the washroom where she waited until he left, claimed the actress. She reportedly continued, 'I kept telling him to stop as I was scared'.
