Nashik, Jul 27 (UNI) A three-year-old boy was injured after being attacked by a leopard at Lakhmapur village in Dindori taluka of the district on Tuesday.
The toddler's mother along with another woman from the village were carrying firewood from the field when the leopard that was hiding in plants suddenly attacked the boy and dragged him in the sugarcane field, sources said.
Seeing this, the mother and other woman along with other people cried for help, which helped gather about 100 to 150 farmers in the area and they all went into the sugarcane field in search of the boy.
At last, the boy, Sameer Vishnu Pawar, was found injured. He was rushed to Dindori health centre, from there to the district hospital and finally to a private hospital for treatment, sources added.
