Yankees star Aaron Judge a late scratch vs Rays

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) - New York Yankees star Aaron Judge was scratched from the starting lineup about 30 minutes before the start of Wednesday night's game at Tampa Bay.

There was no immediate announcement on why Judge was taken out of the lineup.

The right fielder was reinstated from the COVID-19 injured list before Tuesday night's game with the Rays and went 1 for 4. He also was hit by a pitch in the Yankees' 4-3 win.

Judge was placed on the IL on July 16.
