Fortnite - Wiretap locations: Where to plant wiretaps at different key locations explained

Such as the past few weeks, the first quest in this set involves using one of the payphones across the Fortnite map, and it's followed with the task to collect an access card from an IO guard.
Now, you'll have to plant wiretaps at different key locations. The messaging is important since, even though there are different spots in each location, you can only plant one in each. This means that you'll actually need to repeat this action two more times on different places, unlike past challenges where you could just do it all at once.
Completing this challenge will reward you with 30k XP, which will help you unlock more Battle Stars for the Season 7 battle pass. You'll also be able to start the fourth legendary quest for Week 8 - interact with an IO operative's computer.

Where to plant wiretaps at different key locations in Fortnite at a glance
There is a total of five locations to choose from, including three IO bases, Corny Complex and Lazy Lake.
Remember, you need to plant one wiretap in three different locations. If you have a car or happen snatch up a UFO, you can do this within the same match. But if not, don't fret, as the progress will carry on.

Now, let's move onto the exact spots in each of the five areas.
Dirty Docks wiretap locations in Fortnite explained
Let's start with the IO base near Dirty Docks. In here, we found three different spots to choose from, depending on where you manage to land from the battle bus or just stumble upon on feet.
You can find the first wiretap spot next to a communication tower located in the southwestern corner.
There is another spot on the right side of the big antenna located north.
Lastly, there is a third spot next to the tower located right in the southeast corner.
Weeping Woods wiretap locations in Fortnite explained
Onto the IO base near Weeping Woods. We stumbled upon two different spots here, and considering it's a rather compact and secluded area, we definitely recommend visiting it for the challenge over others if you're nearby.
The first spot can be found on the right side of the big antenna in the centre.
There's another wiretap spot in the southwestern corner.
Lazy Lake wiretap locations in Fortnite explained
Moving on to Lazy Lake. We also found two spots here, and they're both fairly close to one another, so take your pick! In case you have to make a quick escape afterwards, you'll be close to the outside area as well.
First, we spotted a place to plant a wiretap on the left side of the southeastern pool.
You can find another one just north of this location, next to a metal bench at the side of the road.

Craggy Cliffs wiretap locations in Fortnite explained
Let's continue with the IO base near Craggy Cliffs now. We found three different spots here, two of them being right next to the towers - if you happen to be near one of them, make sure to stop and plant the wiretap before continuing your ventures.
There is a spot next to the tower on the northwestern corner.
You can find a second spot in the tower located southeast in the area.
There is also a third spot south of the area, aligned with the centre.
Catty Corner wiretap locations in Fortnite explained
Lastly, we stumbled upon two spots in Catty Corner. Keep in mind that you have to go towards the road that leads to the underground base, and not the actual area itself.
In there, you'll find a spot on the right side of the entrance.
In addition, there is another spot on the left side of the road behind the fence.
That should be all! While there are plenty of options, remember that you only need to plant one wiretap in three of these locations.
With this challenge completed, you can go ahead and interact with an IO operative's computer to continue the questline.
