Ooredoo Algeria EBITDA rises 6% in H1

Ooredoo Algeria's EBITDA increased by 6 percent to KWD 33.1 million in the first six months to 30 June compared with KWD 31.3 million in H1 2020. The customer base decreased by 2 percent to 12.6 million compared with 12.9 million in H1 2020. Business in Algeria was hit by the devaluation of the Algerian dinar, which depreciated by 9 percent year on year. Consequently, revenues decreased to KWD 92.6 million from KWD 94.1 million in H1 2020. In local currency terms, revenues were up by 8 percent.
